Cycling for a good cause

LEMOORE - It was a heavy traffic day behind the Lemoore Preschool on the morning of April 15.

A three-vehicle pile up on the first turn occurred.

But with speeds never exceeding 2 mph and first response time at about 5 seconds, injuries were limited to hurt feelings.

After a few tears, hugs and untangling, the vehicles were back on the road circling the parking lot and bringing in the bucks for St. Jude's Hospital.

"We're making money for the hospital children," Hayden Hoekstra said.
