Professional Latina Women to meet

HANFORD -- The Professional Latina Women's Association invites interested individuals to attend a membership meeting from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 at Alicia's Cafe, 441 N. 10th Ave.

The meeting will provide information about the goals and objectives of the organization and provide individuals with the opportunity to sign up for membership. The non-profit organization, formed in 2000, has goals of promoting richness and beauty of the Latino Cultural Arts in the community; providing scholarships to graduating seniors and re-entry students in Kings County; and to develop mentorship and networking programs for women and children.
