Dave Hawk’s home facing foreclosure
By Joe Johnson jjohnson@HanfordSentinel.com
Dave Hawk may have a new home at the Kings County Jail, but his old place of residence may not stick around for any possible return. A legal notice of foreclosure revealed on Monday that Hawk's 16th Avenue home in Lemoore could soon be sold at public auction to the highest bidder if an unpaid balance of $202,914.40 is not paid by July 2.
Unless action is taken, an auction will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the front entrance to the Kings Government Center's Administration Building.
Hawk is currently being held at the Kings County Jail on a charge of first degree murder with special circumstances of murder for financial gain. His Thursday arrest came after a two-year investigation into the presumed homicide of Hawk's ex-wife, Debbie Hawk.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges hours after his arrest.
The murder accusation is not the first charge to be leveled at the Lemoore man, who is also awaiting a trial in July on 10 felony counts related to tax fraud, embezzlement and perjury.
