Gay parade is in bad taste

Editor: I'm curious, is it possible to be in favor of homosexual rights, yet still object to that ridiculous demonstration of bad taste known as the gay pride parade? An elephant marches down the street while men in mini-skirts and high heels throw condoms.

When did it become OK to do almost anything one wants in public, so long as one can cloak it in a guise of a celebration of life and freedom?
