Brown captures Kings Speedway motorcycle event

HANFORD -- David Brown came out on top in the Digger Open Pro division motorcycle race Saturday night at Kings Speedway. Dustin Pruczinski was second, Mike Besmer was third, Mike Martin took the fourth spot, and Don Howard was fifth during the Eddie Mulder West Coast Vintage Dirt Track Series show. Howard won the dash for cash, and Martin won the 250 Open division.
Paul Herman and Tom Horton captured two races apiece, with Herman winning the 500 Support and Modern 750 classes, and Horton taking the Classic 500s and Seniors.
Other winners included Ian Foulds (Open Amateur ), Jay Gosvenor (Modern 500), Tom Horton (Modern 250), Douglas Manhire (Youth 80), A.J. Alves (Youth 50), Joe Walker (Dino), Tom Horton (Classic 500), Mickey Alzola (Super Novice/Super Senior), Don Howard (Vet).
Saturday night's action marked round three of the season. The fourth is Sept. 20 at Bakersfield.
The next show at Kings Speedway is July 12-13. The first card will feature IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stocks, and Buddy Cox Hobby Stock 500s. The second will feature the Fair Enduro, along with Mud Bogs and Vintage Okie Bowl cars.
