Free concert, movie Friday in Corcoran

CORCORAN -- A free concert, free movie and free popcorn are available to the public Friday night in downtown Corcoran at Stix and Flicks movies, co-sponsored by the Corcoran Chamber of Commerce. Music will be provided by Fantasy Band, a three-piece band best known for their performances at the Tachi Palace and Casino. The group plays a mixture of classic rock and oldies, and will perform from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Following will be a showing of the movie "Penelope," a modern-day fairy tale that's family-oriented. The movie will be shown at 8:45 p.m. courtesy of Xtreme Video and Games in Corcoran. Both the concert and movie will take place at Christmas Tree Park in downtown Corcoran.
