Vacancy On Reef-Sunset school board

AVENAL -- The Reef-Sunset Unified School District Board of Trustees intends to appoint a qualified person to fill a board member seat for which no qualified person was nominated by the 83rd day prior to the day fixed for the Board member election.

Any registered voter residing in the City of Avenal or in Kettleman City, district employees excepted, is eligible to be appointed to fill this board member seat. All applications, along with a letter of interest, must be completed and returned to the district's office, 205 N. Park Ave. in Avenal, by 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct.10. Applications may be obtained from the district office.

Candidates will be interviewed at a public special board meeting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, with one candidate being appointed by a majority vote of the Board.
