County schedules health care clinics for December

Children's Services

Immunization and lead screening clinics. Bring your records with you. Duplicates will cost $2 each. The Health Department advises all families who have a private physician to remain under his care. Immunizations are $5 per child/$10 per family or Medi-Cal for children and adolescents 0 to18 years of age. Fingerstick lead screenings are available for children 1 to 5 years of age with Medi-Cal. Avenal -- Immunization Clinic, Avenal Clinic, 590 Skyline, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m., every 4th Monday, Dec. 22.

Lead Clinic, same schedule as Immunization Clinic.

Corcoran -- Immunization Clinic, Corcoran Clinic, 1002 Dairy, 1 to 3:30 p.m., every 1st Monday, Dec. 1.

Lead Clinic, same schedule as Immunization Clinic.

Hanford -- Immunization Clinic, in the Mobile Unit at the new Wal-Mart Parking Lot (12th Ave),

9 to11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m., every Tuesday, Dec. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.

Immunization Clinic, 330 Campus Drive, 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m., every Wednesday, Dec. 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31.

Lead Clinic, 330 Campus Drive, 9 to11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m., every 2nd and 3rd Monday, Dec. 8 and 15.

Adult Immunization Clinic and Travel Immunizations, 330 Campus Drive, 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m., every 1st and 3rd Thursday, Dec. 4 and 18.

Appointments are required.

Walk-in Pregnancy Testing are provided on Mondays in Hanford, 8 to 10:45 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m.

Avenal Health Clinic -- 590 Skyline, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., every 1st Tuesday, Dec. 2.

Corcoran Health Clinic -- 1002 Dairy Avenue, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., every 2nd Tuesday, Dec. 9.

Hanford Health Clinic -- 330 Campus Drive, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m, Tuesday-Friday, Dec. 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19, 23, 24, 30 and 31. (except 3rd and 4th Tuesday 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.)

Closed on Dec. 25 and 26.

Preventive Health Care

for the Aging

This program is offered through the Kings County Health Department. The clinics are scheduled at various Senior Sites throughout the county. A Public Health Nurse provides Health Screenings and referrals. There is no charge for these services. The only requirement is that the persons who are interested in these services are Kings County residents, 50 years of age or older. Please call 1-800-649-5399 or 582-2795 and ask for Heather Jablonski or Natalie Alberti, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. to make an appointment for these clinics.

Confidential HIV Testing and Results -- Walk-in Service

Hanford -- 330 Campus Drive, 8 to11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m., every Monday-Friday

Closed on Dec. 25 and 26.

HIV/Aids Case Management and Medical Services -- Appointments are required

Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic --

Hanford -- 330 Campus Drive, Appointments are required. 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m., every Monday, Dec. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29.

Tuberculosis Clinic

Hanford -- 330 Campus Drive, TB skin test -- Walk-in service, 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday (except Thursdays).

Closed on Dec. 25 and 26.

Chest X-Ray -- Appointments are required. 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30.

Employment and School Tuberculosis Clearance -- Walk-in service, 8 to11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday

Closed on Dec. 25 and 26.
