Let's grade Obama

Editor: As we reach President Obama's 100 days in office, allow me to grade his performance;

Signing the order to close Guantanamo Bay without a plan as to where to put the prisoners -- F

Welcoming British Prime Minister Gordon -- admittedly our closest ally, with a bag of DVDs that won't even play in Europe -- F

Going to Europe, and apologizing for our so-called "arrogance" without naming all the good things we've done for them, such as saving them twice in the world wars -- F

For refusing to visit the cemetery at Omaha Beach -- something every U.S. president has done -- F

For going to Turkey, and not acknowledging their role in the Armenian genocide, and again apologizing for our perceived faults -- F

Domestically, for signing a so called "stimulus" bill, which will not stimulate anything, except our deficit -- F

For signing the 2009 budget -- without anyone in Congress or the White House actually reading it -- F

After campaigning on a platform of "no earmarks" -- allowing over 9,000 of the them to pass with the 2009 budget -- F

For authorizing the Navy SEALS to take out the Somali pirates -- A

For having to go through 17 briefings before authorizing the above action -- F

For not vetting his nominees, and actually appointing tax cheats to his cabinet -- F

For taking over private companies and actually firing the CEO -- something that has never been done before -- F

For pledging a "post-partisan" administration, and locking the Republicans out of budget negotiations -- F

There a many more examples, but enough said!

Remember the "I'm a uniter not a divider" man. For pledging a "post-partisan" administration, and locking the Republicans out of budget negotiations -- F They lost the election. I wouldn't invite them to anything.

We MUST go into Iraq because Saddam HAS WMD's. Over 4000 dead later and BILLIONS of dollars later, WHERE ARE THE WMD'S!!???

Domestically, for signing a so called "stimulus" bill, which will not stimulate anything, except our deficit -- F

For having to go through 17 briefings before authorizing the above action -- F How many briefings did george go thru and still got everything about the wars in afgan and Iraq WRONG.

History says that bush is one, if not, the worst president of all time. I side with MOST REAL AMERICANS on that issue. bush doesn't even deserve a grade. Cheney should get it. "

" Jerry, you almost got it all right. Obama should also get a big fat red bold 72 font F for his failure to allow the US Navy Seals to execute the pirates immediately. He passed up several excellent opportunities to kill them but instead decided the Captain's life was not as important as "diplomacy". There are some reports Obama never did allow the pirates to be killed, he was simply over ruled by Navy officials on scene.

Never in US presidential history has a president in their first 100 days had to say "sorry" so many times due to repeated mistakes. Obama is a joke. When will all of those who voted for him own up to their mistakes.

Everyone i know who voted for Obama said they voted for him because he was all about change. They just didnt realize the change he was pushing was a socialist agenda that was going to destroy the US as we know it.

Lets not make any mistakes, Obama did not inherit
the current budget mess, he asked for it while in the senate. "

First SJT just in: the latest poll on President Obama with an interesting result:

"According to Gallup’s April survey, Americans have a lower approval of Mr. Obama at this point than all but one president since Gallup began tracking this in 1969. The only new president less popular was Bill Clinton, who got off to a notoriously bad start after trying to force homosexuals on the military and a federal raid in Waco, Texas, that killed 86. Mr. Obama’s current approval rating of 56 percent is only one tick higher than the 55-percent approval Mr. Clinton had during those crises"
.

Paul, could you possibly be referring to the Stimulus package Obama pressed George W.to enact prior to Obama's January take over????? This is your statement below.

"Domestically, for signing a so called "stimulus" bill, which will not stimulate anything, except our deficit -- F"

I think Obama has had his try at things and I think we should replace him. Just not with Biden. "

Where do you get your info. wdf?? Every poll outside of hannity or rush has Obama at over 60%. 81 % of REAL Americans like the President. And like always the "ghost" of Billy is always brought into everyone of your comments. Sigh! So I really don't read anything you say because its soooo negative.

Didn't I say before that georgie didn't have a "BACKBONE." You proved it wdf with, " Obama pressed George W.to enact prior to Obama's January take over?????" PLEASE!

And sorry pete... I have a life and done have time to be reading about the murders that happen in the US. And where did you get that info?? Same place wdf got his 56% rating??

I'd rather think in a positive way about the US and her president. The same OLD agruments don't work with me and I can betcha' that most people in American think the same way.

Most of you remind me of the angry old men that now make up what remains of the republican party. I heard last night that even Joe the Plummber is "LEAVING" the party because of the spending republicans keep spending. Keep talking as rush says. Don't listen to Americans. We'd have no local newspaper, and the good folks who work at the Sentinel would be out of work (seriously kissin' up, huh?). I don't blame them at all. All the good interest rates, and stimulus monies are being eaten up by refinancing, not new purchase. " DENNI49ER, you are absolutely correct. Obama did so much more destruction to this country in his first 100 days than W did in 8 years. Seriously. He nearly tripled our national debt. What do you think that will do for our economy? As a country we have cut spending for years in an attempt to reduce the debt and suddenly Obama with his lack of credentials runs up a gigantc bill. He esentially reduced the value of the American dollar by 2/3 just like that. Yet sheep like you still sing his praises. Why? What examples can you give showing the wonderful things he has done. I hope you aren't thinking about the bailouts. That's just a socialists attempt at government controlled business. They used our tax dollars to buy a failing company. They will control it and we get nothing in return. Have you benefitted from this stimulus package? Not me. I might have to take a pay cut or worse. Here is the brazen Prime Minister of Iraq responding to this decision: "In the first response from Iraq, Deputy Premier Tariq Aziz said Friday his country was ready to confront any attack against his country".

"I am not surprised by the resolution because America's decision is a decision of its president who can rally the Congress's support," Aziz, who is in Lebanon as part of a regional tour seeking support, said following a meeting with President Emile Lahoud".

"Asked if he expected imminent American military action against Iraq, Aziz, who arrived in Beirut Thursday, said: "I don't know. We do not set the timing, but we are prepared for it at all times, even if it came after one hour."

Does his comments sound like a nation/leader willing to comply with the United Nations Resolutions that were imposed upon them. UN in or out you decide. "

jeff wrote on May 13, 2009 8:19 AM:

" Let’s analyze your data there Alex. First you say that only 26% of Americans would vote for Obama upon re-election. This is somewhat misleading but I admit is technically true. What that graph says to me is that 26% say definitely and 27% say probably for a total of 54% of people most likely voting for. Only 12% say probably not so even some of them could giving him an even better margin with only 27% of registered voters saying definitely not. Sounds to me like his odds are pretty good - especially when you look at the bar graph that polls voter choices based on party affiliation – looks pretty much like a done deal with 75% of the vote. What I found to be the most interesting is that only 56% of Republicans said they would definitely not vote for him. I wonder how many Republicans will. "

"Saddam Hussein's cousin, Ali Hassan al-Majid - who is also known as "Chemical Ali" - has been sentenced to death for the crime of genocide over his role in the mass killing of Kurds in 1988".

"He was the architect of the campaign, ordering chemical gas strikes against civilian targets which killed around 180,000 Kurdish people".

"Two other high-ranking members of Saddam Hussein's regime have also been sentenced to death: former defence minister Sultan Hashim al-Tai and former deputy chief of operations for the armed forces, Hussein Rashid al-Tikriti".

"Farhan al-Juburi, a former military intelligence commander, and Sabir al-Duri, former director of military intelligence, were both sentenced to life in prison".

"The charges related to the Anfal (Spoils of War) campaign against the Kurds in the late 1980s when the Iran-Iraq war was at its peak".

"There was never any doubt that Iraq used chemical weapons against Iran. Iran reported in 2003 at least 100,000 known victims of the use of different types of chemical agents. "

They can reverse figures, add five or ten points here and there or subtract them in their favor. They can try and discredit everyone else's figures with their own because somehow their liberal network is more right on than our conservative one is, or some other c##k and bull story.

But I salute you for calling them at every turn, for demonstrating they are wrong, wrong and double wrong in most instances.

Paul, if you haven't noticed invents his polls in his own little mind network. When you call him on a source it can't be provided or is so far left, the world globe tips when you go to the URL.

I find many of Pauls comments so ridiculous you might get the feeling you are listening to Soupy Sails, Captain Kangaroo or Bozo the Clown re-runs. All three at the same time. "

Remember the movie Godfather, where the guy wakes up with a dead horse's head in his bed? His favorite racing horse, to boot. Well I keep having this vision of Obama waking up with the same scene playing out. While the horse is bleeding to death, Obama is trying to sing it praises and bring it back to life, only to have it bleed out. Somehow this dream reoccurs in Iran, North Korea, Somalia, almost every one we presently aren't at war with, you might say.

I project here and today that Obama will rush to pull out of Iraq way before they are ready or he said he would. He's on a mission to prove the former administration they didn't know what they were talking about.

The amazing part is Obama keeps reverting to George W's original plans and away from Obama's own ingenius solutions to foreign affairs. So tell me Republicans, who was really right all along, when he said stay the course, follow my lead, do as I do. Bush/McCain had it right, afterall. "

"It's a long row to hoe, isn't it"?

Yes, long row indeed, but it doesn't have to be. Working hand in hand to conquer some of today's most pessing issues we could turn this thing around in a number of months.

I would feel much better if President Obama was more intently involved in solving the economic problems with real solutions rather than shots in the dark with our grandchildren's futues. Bailing out the auto makers does little good, if it bankrupts the buying public in the end. First they want our money to bailout corporate america and then they want us to purchase from them with the little dabs of spendable income they leave us.
They speak of national coverage for health insurance and nationalizing healthcare when the Emergency lines continue to grow as it is. Can you imagine with everyone carrying a government insurance card the rush to judgement. Going to a doctor now, resembles a cattle call as it is, you want to increase the patient load and make it worse? "

Watchdog Fred wrote on May 23, 2009 10:48 PM:

" To: Alihandero,

I think one but notice that in a speach not long ago PBO said: I don't want to run Chrylers, I don't want to run the auto industry.

This from a man who is getting ready to send two of the big three to bankruptcy court. To wipe away debt to suppliers of parts in the industry who have provided supplies to assemble sold products nationwide. Now they must take it as a loss on their P&L's and smile and be happy about it.

GMC is getting 30 Billion in spending as well as 9.5 billion for GMAC financing. But companies loke moog and other national suppliers who have been in business for years, get one finger on one hand from PBO.

I have an idea, let's force the entire country into bankruptcy and start all over again with new elections in government. Let's fire the CEO of the land and replace him with someone with common sense in leadership. Someone who can do something besides rob taxpayers of their incomes, to support corporate america. Corporate America who was worth Billions before BPO came into the picture. "

" OBAMA GETS ANOTHER FAILING INCOMPLETE GRADE ON FOREIGN AFFAIRS:

He said Iran had no missile or nuclear cooperation with North Korea, after Pyongyang conducted a second and far more powerful nuclear test. Former U.S. President George W. Bush branded both countries as part of an "axis of evil."

"In principle we oppose the production, expansion and the use of weapons of mass destruction," Ahmadinejad said.

Military experts say Iran's Shahab-3 missile is based on the North Korean Nodong missile. Tehran says Shahab-3 has a range of 2,000 km (1,200 miles), which defense analysts say would put Israel and U.S. bases in the Gulf within reach.

Iran last week said it test-fired another missile -- Sejil 2 -- with a similar range.

How long are we gonna let this jerk get away with his crusade to rule the Middle East. Once he has a nuclear weapon, watch the pressure be put on all other Middle Eastern Countries to have the capability. Then what we sit back and watch one large 4th of July celebration, Muslim style?

Where is Hillary Clinton, Joseph Biden and all of Obama's so called foreign policy advisors? "
