ACORN is a concern

Editor: This is an open letter to President Obama and Congress:

I am deeply disturbed by the events of the past few weeks and days. The enormous House health care bill in excess of 1,000 pages needs to be completely redone with bi-partisan participation. Listen to the will of the people! They are telling you as representatives we voted for, we don’t like the direction Congress is going with the health care reform.

The ACORN situation also concerns me. The government has entrusted this group with almost $10 million to be used for low income housing. After hearing and seeing the videos of what ACORN employees advising two young people posing as a prostitute and pimp/law student/future politician to do concerning tax evasion, importing young illegals for sex slaves, and supposedly giving them a low interest loan for a house, I want you to stop funding ACORN and commence a thorough investigation. Too much controversy surrounds this organization for anyone to think this is all an aberration. Check into all their past loans for signs of more corruption.

I am concerned about corruption in our government. Charlie Rangel needs to be investigated. I cannot imagine what would happen to me if I “forgot to report almost a million dollars of income.” Should our lawmakers not be held to the same account? And he is on the committee to write tax law.

Please do not send me a general response to this letter. If you cannot take the time to respond directly to my concerns do not count on me or anyone I know to fill out the blank box after your name on the next ballot.
