Hanford West student one of 97 chosen for All-American Band
Eric Bentley of Hanford West High School has been chosen to be a member of the third-annual U.S. Army All-American Marching Band.
Bentley, 16, will perform with 96 other high school students from around the country at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio,Texas on Jan. 9, 2010.
He was one out of 97 chosen throughout the country and one of only two students who will be representing California.
Bentley, who followed in his father’s footsteps, has been playing the trumpet since he was in fifth grade and said he is honored at the opportunity.
“I love band and I love football, so it’s going to be an awesome thing to be a part of,” he said.
