HANFORD -- Elevation Youth Ministry will host the Hell House, “A Glimpse of Hell,” at the Kings County Fairgrounds today and Saturday.

Hell House is a creative alternative to the traditional haunted house. It is a dramatization of real-life situations, which portray death, demonic control, the affects of drinking and driving, heaven and hell.

Shows begin at 5 p.m. and end at 10 p.m.

Tickets cost $6 at the door or participants can bring canned food for a discounted ticket. Canned food items will be given to the Kings Food Pantry.

For more information, contact Koinonia Christian Fellowship at 582-1528.

" Another right wing church full of hypocrites demonizing gay and lesbians and pushing the Nutty "Pat Robertson" "Fred Phelps" view of the world! "

So...what's wrong with that, formerhanfordguy?

Freedom of religion, speech, association and all that...why does that upset you? "

" HAHAHA!! Mrs. D!! Speaking of Pat Robertson, did you see the blog post on the CBN website that warned that all the Halloween candy in the US had been "cursed by witches"?? LOL!! Yeah, it only affects women over age 30, that curse...it sticks to all the places they don't want it to stick... "

" Come on Alihandero - only politically correct groups really have freedom of speech - anyone who stands up for a moral postion it just a bigot and hate monger - right? "

" Any word on that Grizzard guy in South Carolina who was leading a book burning/chicken dinner on Halloween? He and his 14 followers were going to burn all books, including Bibles that weren't the King James Version. All of the fruitcakes come out as early as October, huh, folks!? "

Since when did "demonic control" become a real life situation? "

" To get a good idea of these "Hell Houses", check out a 2001 documentary called "Hell House." It's available on Netflix's watch instant and documents how one church decides to do their Halloween. "

" ," it's in their belief system.

Demonic posession is real enough. "

ANGIE wrote on Nov 4, 2009 12:43 PM:

" Jeff- demonic control is active in everyday life. You have to believe in God before you can acknowledge that it even exists. "

" Ali-
If two witches were watching two watches, which witch would watch which watch? :>) "

Alihandero wrote on Nov 4, 2009 4:59 PM:

" Great reply, Angie!

When someone doesn't believe in anything greater than himself, chaos and evil usually does rule. "

Since when did "Heaven and Hell" become real life situations? Or "Demonic control" for that matter? "
