Dog Agility has arrived in Kings County!!! Does your dog have too much energy? Want to give him a job? Come out and join the fun sport of Dog Agility with your dog. Agility directs a dog's energy both physically and mentally into an appropriate outlet. No more digging! No more chewing! More attention paid to you than on the world around them! Our classes are sponsored by the City of Lemoore Parks & Recreation Department and are held at the Waggin Tails Dog Park located at the 19th Ave. Park in Lemoore. Open to dogs of all ages and sizes who are healthy and current on vaccinations. Class size is limited. The First Lutheran Church in Hanford is offering services in Spanish  at 11:30 a.m. Sundays. These services are Bible based and follow the Lutheran orders of worship and liturgy. First Lutheran Church is at the corner of 12th Avenue and Grangeville Boulevard.

Every month PFLAG Tulare-Kings Counties has lunch in a different community.  We are the parents, families and friends of people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender, and we support equal rights.  Everyone is welcome to come lunch with us.  Wear a PFLAG or Marriage Equality T-shirt and bring a friend.  In November we will be at the Black Bear Diner in Tulare.

Sunday, 22 November, 2009 - DivorceCare for Kids meeting

 DivorceCare for Kids is a special group to help children heal from the hurt caused by the separation or divorce of their parents. At the weekly DC4K group, kids make friends with other kids who understand how they feel and the things they are going through because of the divorce of their parents. DC4K runs from 2 to 4 p.m., on Sundays and begins Feb, 1 at the First Presbyterian Church. 

DivorceCare is a program for people hurting from divorce or separation. This program meets at the same time as the DivorceCare for Kids.

Community members age 40 and older are invited to a weekly dance featuring music by Bobby Seals and The Whiskey River Band from 7 to 10 p.m. every Monday night at the Elks Lodge No. 1298, 3100 W. A Christian mediation group meets every Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lemoore. All are welcome to join the class, regardless of experience.

Thursday, 26 November, 2009 - Children’s story time

The Kings County Library will hosts children’s story times at 3 p.m. every Wednesday and 10 a.m. on Thursdays. The half-hour sessions are held in the Children’s Room and feature stories, songs and crafts.

Many of the story times will be themed, including the following: Feb. 18 — Black History Month story, Feb. 26 — Mardi Gras story, March 4 — Dr. Seuss stories, March 5 — stories and craft and March 12 — St. Patrick’s Day story.
