Sunday, 20 December, 2009 - Don Reid, Sr. Memorial Blood Drive

The Scottish Society of Central California in cooperation with the Central California Blood Center is sponsoring its annual week long blood drive in memory of Don Reid, Sr., a long time Society Member and Past Chief, at all four Donor Center locations (Fresno: 3445 N. First St., (559) 224-2900, North Fresno: 8094 N. Cedar Ave., (559) 324-1211, Visalia: 1515 S. Mooney Blvd., (559) 625-3121), and Porterville: 93 N. Main St., (559) 781-5532). Hours: Mon-Thurs 8 am-8 pm, Fri 8 am-6 pm, except Porterville: Tues-Thurs 11 am-6 pm. Contact any of the Center's offices for information on eligibility to donate. All donors must show a photo ID (driver license, Calif. ID, work badge (with full name and photo), passport, or student body card). The Society is giving a complimentary ticket to the first one hundred (100) people donating blood in the name of the Society's Reid Blood Drive for the 31st Annual Fresno Highland Gathering and Games 13 September at Roeding Park, Fresno, CA 93728. Sunday, 22 November, 2009 - DivorceCare for Kids meeting

 DivorceCare for Kids is a special group to help children heal from the hurt caused by the separation or divorce of their parents. At the weekly DC4K group, kids make friends with other kids who understand how they feel and the things they are going through because of the divorce of their parents. DC4K runs from 2 to 4 p.m., on Sundays and begins Feb, 1 at the First Presbyterian Church. 

DivorceCare is a program for people hurting from divorce or separation. This program meets at the same time as the DivorceCare for Kids.
